Private labels

At Tokmanni, a customer can select what they need from a wide and interesting assortment of products. Our product categories include groceries, home cleaning and personal care, clothing, tools and electrical equipment, home, decoration and garden, as well as leisure and home electronics.

The assortment in Tokmanni’s product categories consists of the company’s own private label products, and non-branded products as well as leading international and domestic brands. Our private labels include Arki 360°, Autoplus, BBQ King, Brücke, Future TT Sport, NATUR PREMIUM PET, Ideale+, Noixx, Iisi, Kraft, Kotikulta, Parco, Perfekt+, Pisara, Pola, Pola Plus, Priima, Tok Garden and Vaeltaja, among others.

Some of the key measures taken by Tokmanni to improve the gross margin include increasing direct imports and growing the sales of its private label products. These measures integrally involve increasing sourcing through the sourcing company in Shanghai and boosting the efficiency of such sourcing, as well as growing the sales of stock lots. Moreover, Tokmanni is focusing on improving its product category specific operations by reducing shrinkage and ensuring inventories do not become obsolete. Tokmanni has a joint sourcing company in Shanghai with the Norwegian general discount retailer Europris ASA. 

Creation of the joint Tokmanni and Dollarstore assortment is progressing at a good pace. Most of Dollarstore’s old assortment has been cleared, and there are thousands of jointly purchased stock-keeping units on sale. Tokmanni and Dollarstore have already benefited significantly from economies of scale in sourcing, purchasing and distribution. Halloween is a good example of this, as in 2024 we had a joint assortment in both Tokmanni and Dollarstore stores.

In 2018, Tokmanni expanded its selection of tools by launching its private label brand Brücke. The brand covers for example a wide range of electrical tools and appliances as well as different kinds of garden machines and devices.

In 2019, Tokmanni launched two new private labels called Perfekt+ and Pisara.

The Perfekt+ brand offers effective and long-lasting detergents while the Pisara brand focuses on personal care. As always with Tokmanni, the prices of the products are very affordable.
